It can be very overwhelming when you start looking for information about blogging, especially when you are just getting started. Worse yet, it usually leads to information overload.

In other words, you lay in bed at night and can’t stop thinking about blog post titles, comments to leave, or widgets you should add the second you wake up the following morning.

For this reason, I’m not surprised that the most common question I get is how to (easily) build a successful blog. Unfortunately, there isn’t a blogging easy button that does it automatically.

The good news is that you’re probably already on the right track to building a successful blog. It seems that everyone knows the basics, they just don’t know how to put everything together to create a game plan that can be executed over time. It’s no secret that launching a blog takes a lot of time, sweat, and patience.

When it comes to blogging, many people do it because it allows them to be creative. Not to mention it can make you some decent money. However, something that is often overlooked with blogging is the ability to network with like minded individuals.

Why Blogging Works?

Blogging makes a great networking tool because it allows you to meet people all over the world. You no longer have to deal specifically with people in your area. I have met people from a lot of different countries that I would have never met had I not started blogging.

Blogging also works because it is a common ground for people. Meeting other bloggers is great because you share similiar goals, work habits, skills, and minds. Regardless of the topic you blog about, meeting others with similiar skills will surely help your own blog.

What You Can Gain From

When it comes to blogging, many people often wonder if spending a little money is worth it. There are tons of ways of advertising your blog on the internet. The question is…should you?

It Depends

I think the answer to this question really depends on your blog, niche, and overall goal. If you blog is a business blog devoted to promoting your products, then by all means start advertising. However, if your blog is a personal blog about your pet spider, you should really ask yourself if it is worth it.

Before advertising, you need to decide if the benefits are going to be greater than the cost of the ads. Calculate the amount you can expect to make from your advertisements. If you spend $200 in advertising and sell $500 worth of products, then you are doing a great job. At that point, you…
