We had a busy week last week, mostly do the redesign of our most popular blog. Life of Justin got a 100% brand new look and we are stoked about how it turned out.

We wanted to create a simple yet professional look that allowed us to put larger pictures in the header but still save space. Therefore we decided to move all of the social network buttons up to the header, along with the short bio.

It now has a lot more space in the sidebar for other things such as the newsletter opt-in, ads, and other features. We also customized the sidebar and made graphics for each of the elements such as Popular posts.

About two weeks ago, we decided to setup an account on Elance since it has so many opportunities. There are tons of projects out there and many of them fell into our niche. Wordpress, writing, and blog consulting.

Our First Project

After applying for a few projects last week, we managed to win our first one. The project was a simple blog setup and theme tweak. The client was new to blogging and needed some help getting started. She enjoyed it so much, she actually had us do another blog. So we managed to get two projects. Not bad!

The Elance System

Using the Elance escrow system took a little getting used to but once we went through the steps, it was pretty simple. They really have it setup so everything is documented and neither party has to worry.

We are pleased to have started working on a redesign for Blogtrepreneur.com. It’s a blog devoted to blogging, business, and most of all, entrepreneurship. It’s a great blog and it has a lot of useful information worth checking out.

The blog has been up for some time, and they have decided to go for a new look that is easier to use. The client really liked the look of out Life of Justin blog, so we want to create something that is similiar to that. Therefore we will be working with a Revolution Theme, most likely the Church theme.
